How do I format my memory card in FAT 32 on Mac ?
Discover here all the steps to format your memory card in MS DOS FAT32 on Mac (memory card inserted into the PC's SD drive)
⚠️ IMPORTANT, read carefully before formatting !
Formatting the SD card will permanently delete all the files on your memory card. Before starting this IRREVERSIBLE operation, remember to make a backup of your files if necessary !
(1) Insert the memory card into your PC
Once inserted, an icon representing a memory card appears at the top right of your iMac desktop
(2) Check the current formatting
Right-click on the memory card icon, then choose “read the information”
(3) Format the card in the right format
If the current format is not in MSDOS FAT32 or if we have advised to format the card :
Start the launchpad on your Mac, then open “Other” and finally select “Disk Utility ».
A new window appears, in the list on the left choose the Cambox disk, then select the icon at the top “Clear ».
In the new selection window, choose the “MS-DOS FAT” format from the list, then click on the “Clear” button.
Wait until the treatment is over.
(4) Check the format
Right-click on the memory card icon, then choose “read the information”
Verify that the format is now in MS-DOS FAT32.
